About Scholarship – Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship is for those applicants who most closely meet or exceed the criteria by completing the scholarship task either be in their final year of a UWE Bristol undergraduate degree in 2023/2024 academic year or, have completed a UWE Bristol undergraduate degree in 2022/23 academic year. The scholarships provide a tuition fee discount of 50% on selected full-time and part-time postgraduate courses.
Eligibility Criteria – To be eligible for Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship an applicant must:
- either be in their final year of a UWE Bristol undergraduate degree in 2023/2024 academic year
- or, have completed a UWE Bristol undergraduate degree in 2022/23 academic year.
- Students who have applied to progress from their UG course to an eligible postgraduate.
taught (PGT) course at UWE Bristol starting between 1 September 2024 and 31 August 2025. - Students will be invited to apply for the Scholarship through communications at point of an
Offer made for a PGT course. Some course exclusions may apply. - The course can be a full-time or part-time (Part-time scholarship awards are only open to
Home fee paying students). - Courses that are validated but not taught by UWE Bristol are not eligible for this discount.
- Due to popularity of some courses, there are a limited number of scholarships.
- Some courses are excluded due to, eg. external funding, accreditation criteria, etc.
- Applicants must have no outstanding debt to the university at Registration.
- Students who are fully sponsored for their tuition fees by their employer or by a professional
body are not eligible for the Scholarship. - Students who are partly sponsored will have the discount applied to the balance of the fees
outstanding after sponsorship. - Students who have successfully completed a UWE Bristol degree programme which is
delivered at one of our partner institutions in the UK or overseas are not eligible.
Stipend – The scholarship is paid as a tuition fee discount and applied at the point of registration on the course.
- Your tuition fees will be reduced by 50% when you accept the scholarship offer.
- The scholarship includes the 20% alumni discount.
- The University reserves the right to cancel any scholarship which has been claimed
fraudulently or dishonestly and therefore will apply the full tuition fee. - The scholarship will be applied to their student record once we have confirmation of
acceptance.
