About the Scholarship – Wellcome Career Development Awards 2024 is offered for Post Doc degree in the field of Discovery Research, Climate & Health, Infectious Disease, Mental Health. This scheme provides funding for mid-career researchers from any discipline who have the potential to be international research leaders. They will develop their research capabilities, drive innovative programmes of work and deliver significant shifts in understanding related to human life, health and wellbeing. This scholarship is provided by Wellcome Trust and the value of this scholarship is Full Funding, salary + research expenses . This scholarship is open to all nationals.
Eligibility Criteria – To be eligible for the scholarship a candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must aim to make a key contribution to their field by generating significant shifts in understanding and developing methodologies, conceptual frameworks, tools, or techniques that could benefit health-related research.
- Applicants should develop their research capabilities and leadership skills, support others to undertake research responsibly promote a positive and inclusive culture, and start training the next generation of researchers and develop their research skills and careers.
- Candidates should have completed one or two substantial periods of research after their initial training and made important contributions to their area of research.
