The “PM-YASASVI: Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC, EBC and DNT Students” is a part of the “PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India for OBCs and Others (PM-YASASVI)” launched by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India. The main goal of this scheme funded by the central government is to offer educational assistance to students belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBCs), Economically Backward Classes (EBCs), and Denotified, Nomadic Tribes (DNTs).
About the Scholarship– The Government of India’s Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is providing the PM YASASVI Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC/EBC/DNT Students – Himachal Pradesh to students from the OBC, EBC, and DNT categories who are pursuing post-matric or post-secondary education in Himachal Pradesh. The PM YASASVI Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme is available for students pursuing High/Secondary School, Bachelors, Masters, Diploma, MBA, or Medicine (MBBS/MD) degrees in any field. The selected candidates for the course will receive additional benefits along with an annual academic grant of up to INR 20,000, which is funded by the Government of India. Indian nationals are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria – To be eligible for the scholarship a candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Students need to be a domicile of Himachal Pradesh.
- Students should belong to the Other Backward Class (OBC), Economically Backward Class (EBC), and De-Notified Tribes (DNT) category.
- Students must be pursuing post-matriculation or post-secondary level courses from a recognized institution.
- Students should have an annual family income of less than INR 2,50,000 from all sources.
