About the Scholarship – The scholarship is named after Ronald Micetich in memory of his achievements. This award is given to a student who is enrolled full-time in a Ph.D. program in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and is conducting research in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.
Eligibility Criteria – To be eligible for the Dr Ronald Micetich Memorial Graduate Scholarship for Pharmacy a candidates must:
- Superior Academic Achievement (equivalent to first class standing at the U of A – GPA of 3.5 or greater)
- Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Nominee must be conducting research in the area of pharmaceutical sciences
- Awarded on the basis of superior academic achievement (equivalent to first class standing at the U of A – GPA of 3.5 or greater)
- When considering an application from a student who has held the award previously, the selection committee will take research output in the form of publications and presentations/abstracts into consideration
- Preference will be given to an international student
- A student may apply, in open competition, to hold the scholarship for up to four additional years
- In considering a student for the scholarship, the selection committee may take financial need into consideration
- Open to Canadian citizens.
- Open to permanent residents.
- Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
- Open to applicants in doctoral programs.
- Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.
