About the Scholarship – The Sir James McNeill Postgraduate Research Scholarship (SJMN) is funded by a private trust and was established in memory of the late Sir James McNeill, who had a long association with Monash University. This prestigious scholarship is available for research that is both environmentally responsible and socially beneficial and helps support a graduate research student with living costs whilst studying at Monash.
Eligibility Criteria – In order to be considered for a Sir James McNeill Postgraduate Research Scholarship a candidates must:
- have submitted a scholarship application in the current year.
- be undertaking research that is both environmentally responsible and socially beneficial
- meet Monash’s competitive scholarship selection process requirements; and
- meet Monash English language proficiency requirement.
No of Scholarship – One every two years (from R4/2024 onwards)
Stipend – $50,291 p.a (2024 rate)
