The aim of the Gordon Signy Fellowship is to promote the public safety and the public health by fostering the development of anatomic and clinical pathology in all aspects, especially in the developing countries. The fellowship is offered The World Pathology Foundation.
About The World Pathology Foundation – The World Pathology Foundation was originally chartered in 1972, in Berne, Switzerland. The objectives of the Foundation are scientific, educational and charitable; to promote public safety and public health by fostering the development of good standards in anatomic and clinical pathology, especially in the developing countries.
About the fellowship – The Fellowship is to assist a young pathologist who desired training is not available in the pathologist’s own country (this means the country of the pathologist’s birth or permanent residence at the time of the application) and requires moving to another country for training. It is expected that the special skills learned in this training will improve the care of patients when the fellow returns to his or her own country. The award is NOT intended to support general training in pathology.
Number of fellowships – 1
Fellowship Amount – $5000/- USD
Eligibility Criteria – Anyone applying for this fellowship should —
- have completed his or her training in anatomical and/or clinical pathology or one of their branches prior to the beginning of their proposed fellowship training; and
- have completed training not more than 10 years prior to application deadline;
- be living in his country of birth or permanent residence.
